Equine-Assisted Learning

What We Offer

Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is a powerful, experiential approach to personal growth, team building, and emotional development designed specifically for groups. In partnership with organizations, schools, and community programs, participants engage in guided activities with horses that foster communication, trust, leadership, and self-awareness.

Unlike traditional therapy or coaching, EAL emphasizes learning through hands-on interaction with horses, providing unique insights into relationships and emotional intelligence. These group experiences help participants build stronger connections—with themselves, each other, and the natural world—while developing problem-solving and collaboration skills.

No prior horse experience is necessary—just an open mind and a willingness to learn together.

Whether your organization is seeking to enhance team dynamics, support youth development, or promote leadership skills, EAL offers a transformative, group-centered way to achieve meaningful growth and connection.

Children & Youth

Our youth-centered EAL programs offer enriching experiences that foster communication, confidence, and social-emotional development in a fun, supportive environment. These programs are designed for schools, after-school programs, camps, and youth-serving organizations seeking innovative ways to help young people thrive.

  • Horse Powered Reading® is a research-based program that blends literacy development with experiential learning—helping children build confidence, reduce anxiety, and engage more fully in the reading process. Through interactive, horse-grounded activities, participants strengthen recall, communication, and focus in a fun, movement-based environment. While not a substitute for a reading specialist, this unique program supports a love of learning and fosters emotional growth through meaningful connection with horses.

  • Our summer camps offer a fun and enriching way for children and teens to connect with horses while building important life skills. Through a mix of mounted and unmounted activities—like riding, grooming, barn chores, and herd observation—campers develop confidence, teamwork, and communication. Each camp also emphasizes environmental responsibility and self-discovery in a supportive, nature-based setting.
